DESCRIPTION:Life Changers Recovery is a safe\, non-judgmental space for a recovering individual to process their experiences of addiction and recovery. The group experience provides an accountability structure for its participants\, where defenses are confronted\, irrational thinking patterns challenged and warning sings pointed out. Furthermore\, practical skill- based sessions allow each participant an opportunity to be equipped with the tools necessary for sustainable recovery. \nOn the supporting side\, Family and friends have an opportunity to realize that they are not alone and are afforded a safe space for processing of difficult experiences and emotions. In a group setting\, members learn how to more constructively care for their loved one/s and\, more importantly\, learn how to take better care of themselves. Participants come to understand that they are not responsible for the addicted individual’s journey\, but that they are responsible for working their own program of recovery. The group experience provides a platform for individuals to identify negative coping mechanisms and replace them with positive recovery skills. This space is a space for healing and restoration.
