World Cup Secrets

By wally • June 24th, 2010

South Africa has been gripped by soccer fever!  Vuvuzelas ringing in your ears; out bursts of anger and frustration at the ref and players; vows that you’ll never watch another game; but you read the paper and keep looking at the calendar for the next game.

There have been some mega highs and lows, especially on Tuesday when Bafana kept us on the edge of our seats. The almost written off teams have caused many of the “mighty to fall” (2 Sam 1:27). God some how seems to always back the underdogs. He believes in them and they rise up to be winners, where the self-confident crumble. One thing I have observed, a team playing as ONE is far superior than a team full of individual superstars. It’s the same with the Church. HE is our superstar and we are privileged to be on His team. Let’s play as ONE and kick some devils “butt”!
