Our values
These are the guiding principles for how we intend to fulfil our VISION. They are our stepping-stones or building blocks.
We seek to live out our Values as follows:
Loving Relationships
“A new command I give you: Love one another as I have loved you, so you must love one another” (John 13:34). We desire to live out this verse, as well as the dozens of other verses on love, through honesty, transparency and truthfulness.
Gift/Talent Orientated Team Ministries
“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms” (1Peter 4:10). We believe that as every believer discovers, develops, and deploys their God-given gifts, the whole body grows and functions as ordained by God. “From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work” (Ephesians 4:16).
Passionate Christianity
“Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord” (Romans 12:11). We want to do everything from a deep heartfelt love for God, growing in intensity as we cultivate intimacy with Him. We want to be real (not religious).
Functional Structures
“Men do not pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins and both are preserved” (Matthew 9:17). We are constantly evaluating the way we do things, pulling down “corporate ladder” mindsets and developing teams with a great “Team – Spirit”.
Inspiring Celebration Services
“What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the Church” (1 Corinthians 14:26). We would like to see every Sunday celebration filled with creative spontaneity and joy as we corporately worship our Great King. Our togetherness creates momentum in God.
Relevant Growing Life Groups
“Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved” (Acts 2:46-47). Our homes are places of refuge for the battle-weary, hospitals for the hurting, and warmth for discipling and friendship. Join a Life-Group near you!
Spirit Lead Lifestyle Evangelism
“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8). We are all called to be witnesses to neighbours and nations. Wherever we are, we see every need as an opportunity to direct people to Jesus Christ.
Servant-Hearted Leadership
“The things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others” (2 Timothy 2:2). We desire to empower people, developing the leader within each person, both in character and gift, through teaching, equipping, and opening doors of opportunity as God directs.
